The Spark is Chevrolet's city car, built by GM Korea at its Changwon plant and sold as a cheap, easy first car. It competes with the Kia Morning and Hyundai's smallest models. As a Korea buy it is hard to beat on price, and because it was made locally, parts and service are simple and cheap.
It is light, nippy and made for tight streets and easy parking, with a soft ride around town. The cabin is basic but honest, with a clear screen and enough space for four. The standout is running cost: low purchase price, low fuel use and low upkeep.
