The Alphard is Toyota's luxury minivan, a rolling lounge built to pamper the people in the back. In much of Asia it is the car of choice for executives and VIPs, and it has no real direct rival other than its own sibling, the Lexus-adjacent world of high-end people movers. Korea imports these in small numbers, so a clean one is a genuine find.
The point of an Alphard is the second row. The reclining captain's chairs, quiet cabin, and soft ride are meant to be enjoyed from the passenger seat, not the wheel. Up front it is smooth and easy to drive for its size. Built to Toyota's usual standard, it is a long-haul luxury tool that should keep working for years.
