The X3 M is the hot-rod version of BMW's mid-size SUV. It takes the everyday X3 shape and drops in a full M engine, so you get a family-friendly five-seater that runs with sports cars. Rivals are the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 and the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio. Korea is a strong place to buy one. Korean owners tend to keep cars clean, service them on time, and drive gentle roads, so low-mileage examples are common.
The heart is the S58 twin-turbo inline-six, one of BMW's best engines. It pulls hard everywhere and sounds serious. The ride is firm and the steering is quick, so it feels more like a tall coupe than an SUV. Inside you get sport seats, a wide screen, and proper M touches on the wheel and paddles. The standout thing is how it hides its size once you are moving.
