The 2 Series here covers two shapes, the four-door Gran Coupe and the two-door Coupe. The Gran Coupe is a low, sporty sedan on the front-drive platform, while the M240i Coupe uses the rear-drive layout for a proper small sports car. Rivals include the Mercedes CLA and the Audi A3 and TT. For a Korea buy it is a way into a sharp, good-looking BMW that stays affordable.
Both versions feel quick and planted, but the rear-drive Coupe is the keen driver's pick. The cabins are snug and driver-focused with quality trim. The standout is the M240i xDrive Coupe, a small car with a strong six-cylinder engine and grippy all-wheel drive.
